Ustabil angina pectoris

Angina pectorisk kan i noen tilfeller oppstå eller forverres i løpet av kort tid. Brystsmerter kan komme i hvile, ved små anstrengelser, etter måltid eller om natten. En slik tilstand med hurtig forverrelse og uttalt angina defineres som ustabil angina pectoris.
