Ubehag i øvre del av magen, funksjonell dyspepsi

Funksjonell dyspepsi omtales av noen som magekatar, men det er en tilstand karakterisert ved tilbakevendende eller kroniske smerter og ubehag i øvre del av magen uten at man finner sykdomsforandringer i eller rundt fordøyelseskanalen.

De vanligste symptomene er smerter og ubehag i øvre del av magen. Plagene forverres gjerne når du spiser, men enkelte opplever at det å spise lindrer plagene.
