Barretts øsofagus

Dette er en tilstand med forandringer i slimhinnen i nedre del av spiserøret, sannsynligvis som følge av magesyre som over lengre tid har etset slimhinnen.

Personer som har hatt sure oppstøt, halsbrann og/eller brystbrann (refluksplager) i lang tid, har høyere risiko enn andre for å få Barretts øsofagus.
