Fremre korsbåndskade

Fremre korsbåndskade er den hyppigste alvorlige skaden i kneet og er kneskaden som oftest må opereres. Den forekommer litt hyppigere hos jenter og unge kvinner enn hos gutter og menn. I mange tilfeller er skaden forbundet med samtidig skade av menisk, leddkapsel og/eller sideleddbånd.

Korsbåndene er en type leddbånd som finnes inne i kneleddet. Funksjonen er å støtte og stabilisere kneet.
