Mangel på vitamin B12

Mangel på vitamin B12 skyldes utilstrekkelig inntak via kostholdet eller redusert opptak av vitamin B12 fra tarmen. Tilstanden kan være vanskelig å oppdage tidlig, fordi symptomene kan være vage og utvikles langsomt. Diagnosen stilles ved en blodprøve.

Kilder til vitamin B12: Kjøtt, fisk, sjømat, egg og melkeprodukter er de viktigste kostholdskildene for vitamin B12.
