Blodpropp i ben eller arm, dyp venetrombose (DVT)

Blodpropp i vener rammer hvert år omtrent to av 1000 mennesker over 50 år. Det kan gi varierende grad av plager, men typisk er at det syke benet blir ømt, hovent og varmt.

Mange forhold kan føre til dannelse av blodpropp i de dype venene. En særlig viktig faktor er manglende bevegelse, for eksempel langvarig sengeleie ved sykdom, etter en operasjon eller langvarig stillesitting i forbindelse med lange reiser.
