Patellofemoralt smertesyndrom

En tilstand med diffuse smerter i og rundt kneskålen. Smertene fremkommer ved aktiviteter som løp, hopp, trappegang, benbøyninger eller huksittende stillinger. Tilstanden er hyppig blant idrettsungdom.

Patellofemoralt smertesyndrom gir kroniske smerter og rammer ofte idrettsungdom.
