Nefrotisk syndrom

Nefrotisk syndrom er i seg selv ingen sykdom, men en samling symptomer og tegn på at det foreligger en eller annen form for sykdom i nyrene.

I ca. 50 prosent av tilfellene hos voksne og 90 prosent av tilfellene hos barn, skyldes utvikling av nefrotisk syndrom en betennelse i selve nyrevevet.
