Blodpropp i øyet (netthinnen)

Blodpropp i øyet - det vil si tilstopping av hovedarterien til netthinnen, eller til noen av dens grener, medfører akutt og ensidig tap av synet uten noen annen form for ubehag. Det er en akuttsituasjon og krever umiddelbar innleggelse i sykehus.

Blodpropp i øyet vil i løpet av 90 til 100 minutter i de fleste tilfeller føre til uopprettelige skader på netthinnen.
